Mandy Brass, a member of King’s CICM Faculty and the Lead Acupuncturist at Dimbleby Cancer Care, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, hosted the ACMAC (Association of Community and Multibed Acupuncture Clinics) 2025 conference. The event was held at Dimbleby Cancer Care on 15th and 16th November.
The conference proved to be both inspiring and informative, offering a fantastic opportunity for professional development and networking.
Mandy Brass presented on ‘Treating Oncology Patients: Safety, Contraindications and Case Discussions’.
Delegates enjoyed a diverse programme, which included a Qi Gong session led by Peter Deadman and a series of enlightening talks. These covered:
- The biomechanisms of acupuncture points with Joe Jennings.
- The Chaparda Project in India with Sara Lacey.
- Joint assessments with Paul Blacker.
- Supporting children with ADHD with Rebecca Avern.
- Acupuncture’s journey within the NHS with Professor Song Xuan Ke (King’s CICM Honorary Advisor).
- Hand Acupuncture from Wu’s School of Acupuncture with Dr Jun She.
- The future potential of acupuncture in meeting NHS needs, presented by Alex Jacobs, CEO of the British Acupuncture Council (King’s CICM Honorary Advisor).
